Welcome to Rostock

Following the success of Gerhard Kuentscher himself who lived and worked in the northern part of Germany, we are proud to invite you to the annual Congress of the Küntscher Society to be held in the City of Rostock, Germany, from September 19 to 22, 2012.

Sustaining the great scientific program of last year’s Congress in Thessaloniki, lectures will focused on fracture treatment using intramedullary nailing as well as varia sessions from all over the world. Highlights of the Congress include presentations on nailing in reconstructive surgery and in extended indications, interlocking nailing of small bones, biomechanical prerequisites for nailing of osteoporotic bones and nailing techniques for implant-associated fractures, to mention only a few.

Together with our industrial partners, special workshops will be held, such as “How to do best tibial nailing” and “How to do best proximal humeral nailing”, aimed at younger colleagues and residents. These and many more topics will guarantee interesting discussions and will take a major part of our Congress.

We encourage all of you to submit abstracts of your work, free papers and posters, so that we can put together a unique and diverse scientific program everybody will profit from.

During the Congress you will have a wonderful experience of visiting the City of Rostock with its historic centre full of hanseatic flair and its seaside resort presenting a magnificent coastal scene and beautiful wide beaches.
